Steve, after long thinkering I suggest a new mod to the stock wiring using the two stacked pot separated: - the 250K section uses a little 0.0047 cap to ground as a normal treble bleed control (after center detent it is a "no load" tone pot). - the 1M section bypasses a 0.001 cap inserted on the signal path (you can use a G&L passive bass control as reference). At 10 you obtain a slight reduction in bass response. This helps to open the tone (with humbucker selection, probably due to the higher impedances involved, the bass reduction at 10 is a little more respect to single coils). TBX is for Treble-Bass-Expander...or not? That's it! Your comments are welcome. m.
