Re: Fender Champ 12 Hi Ray, Check the Champ12 thread in Guitar Tech forum down a ways, I had a couple links to my screen voltage mod, it's easy and helps the clean channel give a little more of what's needed, both channels really since it's the power tube. Runs hotter but that's the way I like it, supposed to be class A anyway. I replaced the ceramic signal caps with mica or film and it helped the preamp, before changing values if you are going to get a better speaker (especially for overdrive) I would voice it to that. Good luck with the overdrive channel, exactly there is the least progressive gain I have ever seen, never clean enough or dirty enough without being harsh, there is almost no more gain clockwise than there is CCW, and articulate settings stay louder than the clean channel. I put the OD gain at 9o'clock and OD volume at 3o'clock and voiced that setting to be a little better, but still I prefer a clean LPB2 pedal in front of the clean channel for workhorse overdrive. Then I still can bypass the LPB2 and use the Champ12 OD sometimes which is harsher, then kick in the LPB on top of that for some really aggressive screaming. Still there's a volume boost each step of the way, and it helps to turn down the reverb as you go. It'd be interesting to find out what you do here, and with the reverb, its a microphonic feedback special. And have fun with those red knobs and removing nuts from every pot before you can fix the board, don't get violent Mike
