Disconnect the ul taps and feed the grids from the rail
 
There is room in there to mess around for a long time before you
need a board kit. Go for BF City. Reconfigure the tone stacks,
swap preamp bias resistors and/or bypass caps, swap plate load
resistors on the preamp, reconfigure the PI, snip the shit off the
power tubes, make the bias really adjustable. And nobody will ever
call you a hacker cause it's a filthy ul SF.
