I had decided to put a coil cut setup in my guitar and used a .02 cap in series with one of the coils hot leads instead of losing one coil altogether, when both p.u.'s (neck and bridge) are combined and different coils within each p.u. are selected with the cap in series, the phase angle is changed and a tremendously wah -like tone is obtained. Initially I didnt think it would be very useful to have but found it got me way into mick ronson territory when cranked out of my marshall! Maybe ask in the guitar tech section of the board and the guys who are doing alot of git wiring can offer some more input.
