I just got done rigging up a D***le ODS into a bandmaster reverb chassis i've got sitting over here that I use for trying out various mods. The tone stack is definetly VERY different in the way it reacts to settings and takes some getting used to. Don't give up on it at too quickly. It grows on you! It's really hard to explain but it feels like the mid control acts as a boost/cut for the bass and treble for lack of a better way to put it. In this I mean that you set the bass and treble to determine how the mid reacts. There's a lot of range there and it's definetly got sweet spots. I've tried both varations that are out there and generally prefer using the 10k to ground resistor. It seems to give a little more movement and scoop to the mids. The smaller values make it feel a little dead to my. I hope that explaination made sense but it's always hard for me to explain the way things sound to my ears. If you want a really WHOOP ASS amp try this out! 1. Do the Torres reverb mod to the circuit so you get reverb and trem in both channels. 2. Break the circuit at the driver and insert the dpdt switch making the normal channel the OD section. 3. Use pots for the skyliner eq first and once you've got them set where they sound best measure them and replace them with fixed resistors. Leave the treble control front mounted and use it as an OD tone control. This should take you less than an hour or so with virtually no drilling. The cool thing is that you reverb AND trem. YAHOO!!!!!!!
