Replace both volume pots with 1 Meg audio taper. I would suggest to 
change the bright cap on the new bright channel pot to silver mica 100pf. Since you're already changing pots, you might want to replace the presence control to 5k and rewire it like a plexi (or 5f6a Bassman).
