I have a couple of YBA amps, and a Hendrix fanatic. They are a close circut to bassman plexi type amps, just look at some schematics and you can see what needs changing. You can tweak them the way you like. I like to reduce the 100k feed back resistor to 47k..i also changed them to adhustable bias, and i like EL34s in these amps.{just my opinion} the first thing before any modding, just get good tubes in the amp,see how it sounds, then you'll know the differences after you change it to plexified.once you have it plexified, then you may want to tweak things to get what you like.the OEI should be great for this amp. These amps are easy to work on..lots of room..and sound great..hard to beat for what they cost. You can't build a plexi from scratch for what you can get one of these amps for..so its one of the best build amps there is out there.{IMHO} Once you get started..there are many here who could suggest things to help.I used Svet EL34s and Amperex preamp tubes.I also like changing the screen grid resistors..to one for each tube, instead of shared resistor like original. I hope your not thinking of the twin Hendrix used..alot of recordings Electric ladyland was on a Twin reverb..The amp your talking about is more for the wild Hendrix sound, but still has great tone for quieter stuff too..
